Landscapes - Pescadero

Pescadero, California is situated on the Pacific coast between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. This part of the coast line has both dramatic towering bluffs and long smooth sandy beaches. The old San Gregorio fault line runs along the coast here. In several places, interesting rock formations interrupt the sandy beach areas. This stretch of coast is very exposed to the elements without much protection from offshore rocks or islands. I often visit this area since I like its ruggedness.
